Centre stand.....some people like the SWmotech one. I, however, have the Triumph one and it works OK. http://shop.sw-motech.com/lshop,show...nterstand,.htm Just beware that the 800 & 800XC are different.

Extra lights.......the Triumph ones have been prone to moisture ingress and intermittent failures. They replace them under the warranty. Some have fitted Denali or similar instead. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/denal...-and-m10-mount or http://shop.sw-motech.com/cgi-bin/co...typid=87077378

Also, if you intend to use it on dirt roads, a decent bash plate is a must. I'd recommened the SWmotech one as it comes up high enough to protect the oil filter. And, there's enough room to change that filter without removing it. http://shop.sw-motech.com/cgi-bin/co...typid=87077272

Decent hand guards.......don't buy the T800XC ones as they're crap. If you're buying an XC just change them ASAP. These are rebadged BarkBusters......http://shop.sw-motech.com/cgi-bin/co...typid=87074797

Of course, most of that you'll have to fit yourself but, apart from the lights, its' all quite simple. And now that I've emptied your wallet, I'm off to make a coffee.

Is anyone using the new Moose skid plate? I would love to see some better pics of it. It seems to have very good coverage for the suspension knuckle in the rear and looks reasonably strong overall. Great price too.

In addition to the other suggestions, the Happy Trails crash bars are the best I've seen. Tyson sure has given them a workout.

Better than the FJR? That's difficult to believe, but I'll take your word for it. That Triumph must be a fantastic bike! In a year or two, I'll be looking at one.

Well, that picture is not a Tigger (800GS I think) so it's hard to say how good the Tigger version is. I will say the SW Motech skid plate has a similar setup at the rear to protect the knuckle.

FJR has a smooth engine, but feels like riding a dinosaur now.

The SW Motech skid plate is riveted together. There have been several that have failed, although they were seriously abused.
The Altrider skid plate is a fully welded assembly and offers excellent protection. Its somewhat pricey but well worth protecting your investment.

I know a lot of FJR guys/gals add a topcase, taller windshield, wider mirrors, etcetera.

Are you going to have to do anything to the Triumph re: setting it up for you?

Nice bike! I was at our local dealership today as they rolled that exact bike into the showroom. Like you said- very nice fit and finish. My all time favorite bike is my FJR and I'm interested to hear more comparisons as you get to ride it.
