I got the reducer from Summitt Racing.
![]() I had to trim it down with my pipe cutter. Hmm, new hose looks a bit different, but has the same number. Guess the old hose was tweaked into position. ![]() Using the old hose as a template, looking good. ![]() Just need to find a 1-13/16" hose to join the reducer to the outlet. ![]() ![]() I have the same problem with the heater hoses, 3/4" at the waterpump to 1/2" at the heater.

I should have known there was a Willys thread on here somewhere!
![]() Howdy all! My jeep obsession started with a '70 CJ5, then a '63 CJ5. I still have a '62(ish) CJ3B that I built to race back east, and I am in the process of building a '49 3A for my wife. I previously had a '52 PU that I built for rock crawling. My dad caught the bug from me and has a bone-sock '46 2A with about 35K on it. And a '37 Willys car. At our pinnacle, we also had 4 PU's and an FC150. Yeah, I've got the bug. I'll post some more pics when I get a chance.

Sorting out the hoses...
![]() Not the most elegant. ![]() New hoses all around. ![]() Still need to get two more clamps and bolt the radiator to the grill and out for a ride.

As a matter of fact, I do play with my Willys about every day. When work doesn't necessitate driving my van, the CJ3b becomes my daily driver.

Barn find
Barn fresh 1959 Willys CJ-5. Not as cool as a flat fender, but it's solid and runs good. It has a little over 6,000 miles on it. Note the PTO on back. This isn't a resto project, it has always been and will continue to be a work vehicle. I plan to use it for dragging lumber out of the woods for firewood, and for plowing my driveway.

Nicely done! One recommendation - get rid of all of those butt connectors under the hood. Solder and heat shrink are your friend!

Thanks. I'm just the third owner, the first was the county. They had a sprayer mounted in it and used it to spray weeds in the road ditches. The second owner was a local guy who used the PTO to drive a manure spreader, and used it for fixing fences, skidding trees, etc. He rebuilt the carb, generator, brakes, put in a new radiator core, exhaust, tires belts, water pump, got the lights working, etc. It's pretty much good to go for me.
