I'm only in charge of entertainment and I'm bringing a band, so the other guys are going to have to chime in as to what is provided and what you'll have to bring. Me . . . I always bring everything I need. Self-sufficient and all that.

Doc will love you in just undies wielding a knife. Yikes. Remember, you gotta provide the campfire gals for Dragon. Toyman took care of it at Shores Lake, your turn.

Amman, the first post in this thread by DIrty Dog gives you tons of info, and mentions beer, in bold , at least twice. Just hope it is not Okie 3-2 beer, Newner.

If we were trucking the beer, it would be OK craft brew like Marshall's. But alas, no. The beer will be sourced locally and we've yet to work out those details. Consider it a surprise.

As for those other questions above,
1. Tent, car camp, or RV. Those are your local SLAP lodging options.
2. Community bonfire... likely. Depends on the host and burn bans.
3. Beer- some will be provided. Nobody can predict if we'll have enough. Bring your favorite bottled beer to share and make friends.

I'm really going to try to make it from Dallas so put me on the "in" and "noob" list.
I love riding the pavement up there on my 650GS, looking forward to getting her dirty.

I did just find a deal and got 4 off road MX tires for 20 bucks off craiglist. I am more interested in dirt riding trail etc... Would it be wise to put on strictly dirt MX tires. They are not DOT and not sure if getting to the trails requires some paved riding. Dont figure it would matter much if it is just some quick jaunts on pavement to get to the trails. Plan on trailoring the bike up so I would be putting these tires on just for the SLAP.

Yes, tires would be good.

We now have a Brewmeister at a local microbrewery in our group over hear. Maybe we can talk him into bringing a keg...a very large keg, of his brew? How bout it JT?

We could take up a collection.

I think it is essential that a team of FF's be assembled to thoroughly test this brew to make sure it meets the standard of the highly discriminating palates of the SLAPers.

Get busy. You have several months of research and development ahead.

I expect a full report.

hmm

I have been thinking of going but I was thinking of bringing my ATV. My motorcycle being a Harley wouldnt be a option. I would like to get out meet some people and ride. Do you guys think this would be alright? I don't want to be out of place with an ATV if this is strictly a motorcycle gathering.
