Actually it's next weekend.

Qualifier for Iditirod. Should be some good teams there. If you haven't been to a sled race, these can be quite exciting. I've been to both Iditirod and the Yokon Quest. Very cool events. The dogs are amazing.

Hmmmm, Hmmmm, we will have to see. It would be a good chance to say hi to Wallowa, who volunteeers for the event if I remember right.

On the other hand it is cold and snowy there and I could stay in town, ride my motorcycles and four wheeler around the area and do some cabinet building/ maybe flip the axle over on the new to me camper.

We have a great time racing our snowbikes around the golf course. Now only if we could do that in the summer

Yup, 6 th year at Ollokot as Lead for QRT [Quick Response Team....BLS] and Dog Handler Lead, parking the teams and getting them back out...24/7...we go in early on snowmobiles [6-7 miles in] to set up camp and dog runs Wed and first teams arrive Thurs afternoon....straight on until late Sat morning/afternoon when last team leaves Ollokot, if we are lucky!

Add a dip in the Imnaha River on Sat morn [Polar Bear thingy] and all is right with the world!

Right now we have 7 in 200 mile race and 4 in 100 mile race.

Start is cool on Thursday..I guess, I have never seen it.

Get home around 1900-2100 hrs Sat and sleep for 24 hours...

So unless I want to run seven miles ? pulling a sled to where the QRT is at I won't get to say hi to Wallowa?
