Scott Dual Raid TP Jacket

Does anyone have any experience with Scott jackets? I'm looking at the Dual Raid TP, but I can't seem to find any reviews for the jacket or the company.

The company does a lot sports gear. My road bike is a Scott.

I saw these jackets in person at Iron Pony (Columbus, OH) today. Looking for reviews as well.

I've looked at it in person, tried one on, and will be buying one as soon as I can sell my other gear. Very nice spec and SAS-Tec armor is the icing on the cake.

Were you able to compare it with a Klim?
Also it seems you need to order rear protector extra.

In my mind, there's no comparison to be made. Klim is a good 50-100% higher in price, so my expectations would be equivalently higher. The Dual Raid is 500 denier Cordura, which does the job just fine by me. I could care less about GoreTex, because I carry a rain suit. I will wash the Dual Raid in Nikwax once I get it, so it will shed water in a light rain. Once the rain becomes steady, the dedicated raingear goes on. Yes, you have to stop, but it's not as big of a hardship as others make it to be.

The SAS-Tec backpad and hip armor are optional, but that's an extra $100. So you're looking at $750 for the jacket, pants, and armor. Higher priced Rev-it gear doesn't come with a SAS-Tec backpad either.

This is a great value, and it feel like quality gear. I'll post up some images once I get everything - it will probably be a month or so.

I own the Scott distinct 1 gt. It has been a great jacket this winter. It Keeps me comfortable and dry @ freeway speeds and sub 40 degree rainy days.

I saw this jacket in person today. Very nice. Fit me better than the overrated Klim Latitude. And has more features. Nice vents on back, chest, forearms. Sas-tec armor (but you have to buy back pad separate which is lame). Removable sleeves. Very nice waterproof liner. The shell felt like it'd shed water in a light rain (just my opinion based on feel of the shell). It's top of the line. The material of the shell felt very substantial yet supple enough (not stiff like the Klim). Pocket for water bladder. I tried on the brownish/grey color. Looked great in person.

Saw the pants. Also very nice. Only annoying thing was no zip up the leg cuff. Had the same liner as the jacket.

Got it in the mail yesterday. It is utterly fantastic! It is the BMW Rallye 3 Pro but 1/2 the price.

not only does the waterproof liner zips, it has storm flaps as well. It zips on both sides of the jacket.



Only has one inside pocket. big enough.



Buttoned up its great. large storm flap and 2 position collar.


Upper left zippered pocket, with zipper garage.



Lower right zippered pocket. There are also lower right and left buttoned pockets with inch storm flaps.



This is with the 2 chest pockets open. much like the Rallye. also has a pathway for a drinking tube, pocket for the bladder in the back.



The arms zip up and down, again like the Rallye. Has great venting.



The arms adjust with snaps, much better than the straps and velcro.



Left forearm has the little see though pocket.



The back has a large upper vent. as well as the pocket for the bladder.



There are also 2 vents that run the length of the back.



and of course a butt pocket.



The arms zip off. taking all armer with it.



The armer is stored in these soft mesh pockets.



Once the liner is unzipped only a few snaps hold it in, very fast to remove.



Pretty standard.



armer is ok. kinda hard but flexible.



This jacket is everything i was hopping for. Just great. Looks like a full 3.5 session jacket.
