Nope. If a circuit on the PDM60 fails (overload) you just shut it off (shut bike off), wait a minute, and restart. It auto-resets the blown circuit. (Of course with the PDM off you should fix the cause of the overload!)

Guess I'm not making myself clear on this...not individual circuits shutting off, but the chip device failing and the entire PDM60 being toast, so to speak.

If the relay on the FZ fails and you're not competent to replace it yourself, simply throw it away and buy a new one.

I have one of the first generation units on a RT, it has worked flawlessly for many, many miles.

I also have had other fused based products, so from first hand experience, instead of conjecture, I feel safe to say the PDM60 is unmatched in what is advertised to do as compared to the other products.

If you have used a product, please tell us your experience with it. If you just want to voice your opinion, well you know.......

That being said: The Stebel horn is a POS. (yes, I had one, and no not on this bike, and prior to the PDM)

I used more of your BMW-approved black cloth tape last weekend doing some additional wiring cleanup. That stuff works great.

Well we can all relax now, I ordered the PDM60 from Rocket Moto yesterday and the PDM60 wiring kit. Looking forward to installing it on my 2013 FJR1300.

Is there any way to tell if a dealer is stocking Version 2 which is user programmable?

Rocket Moto received a back order shipment Monday and they are v2.

You might want to check with Adam there at Rocket Moto, he was most helpful for my purchase and has posted on this thread.
