2013 Klim Off Road Gear
Fellow ADV Riders,
While the new Adventure Rally 2 Suit may get all the attention, we are even more stoked on the 2013 Klim off road line. We're huge fans of the Dakar, Mojave, Baja, and Chinook pants, all which have not changed for a LONG TIME. Most of the changes are refinements, although the graphics look MUCH better. One thing that did change; the in-the-boot construction of the Baja and Chinook carry forward, but not under the same name. Going forward, these have been grouped / renamed into the Dakar and Mojave "families". So now, there is a Dakar OTB (over the boot) and Dakar ITB (in the boot) pant (which used to be the Chinook). Same for the mesh pants, the standard is a Mojave OTB (over the boot), there is also a Mojave ITB (in the boot) pant (which used to be the Baja). Confused? How about some pics? 2013 Klim Dakar Pant: ![]() 2013 Klim Dakar ITB Pant (formerly Chinook): ![]() 2013 Dakar Jersey: ![]() 2013 Mojave Pant: ![]() 2013 Mojave ITB Pant: ![]() 2013 Mojave Jersey: ![]() 2013 Mojave Pro Glove: This is a new vented glove, with an upgraded palm...instead of the typical Clarino synthetic material, it uses Pittards Digital goatskin leather. Description says tall sizing in Black and Gray..........only shows Black in tall sizing if you go to order.
When is the Gray in Tall sizing going to be available? Thanks, Vince

Hey Tork - I am a 33-34 in jeans and the 34 Dakar pants (last year's) fit well, with enough room for padded shorts, yet not too roomy without them. Hope this helps!

Hi Tork. Mt. Tripper's info is good, but I want to add one thing...the Dakars are not designed to wear as an overpant. There are people that do it, but functional details like pattern, no side zips, waist configuration, etc will not really work as intended.
You can wear them over something light like basketball warmups, and of course over padded shorts. But they are technically off road pants, and not intended to wear as overpants. Thanks, BP |

What are the big differences between the Traverse and the Overlander? I see elbow straps but why if there is no armor?

(The Overland apparently has pockets for the usual pads, so the straps make sense.)

There is also more room in the shoulders, meaning it will work better when worn over body armor. BP |
