Hi Brendan J .At the moment the bike will rest right over on the sidecar. But there is no room for my foot when it does . Still have to make a stop up to limit the travel.

How are you going with your old sidecar .?

Cheers Ian

G'day Ian I'm heading to the auction next wednesday (30th) to see what happens to it. I'm hoping to buy the sidecar back cheaply from who ever buys the bike.

How did you get on at the auction Brendan, do you still have a sidecar
The wife took the leaner sidecar for a ride again today , She said she will not ride it as a leaner, it was too heavy for her when going slow and when she stopped. She said the sidecar goes great no head shake no pull to the left and is easy for her to ride as long as it is solid.
No problems, i will only have to take the two top bolts out and turn the struts away for when i want to ride it as a leaner .Or take the two lower bolts on the rose joints out and undo one plug for the wires to make it solo again ,Win Win Win.

The dog don't care either way . He gave it a Hi five .

Cheers Ian

Leaner

G`Day My leaner 1981 R100RS I built mine with front pivot 82mm higher than rear one.It turns the sidecar in both ways easy at all speeds. It is geared for 155kph,drives as good as a solo after getting used to it.I have a separate disc brake for sidecar,It makes down hill left handers a breeze(sidecar on left) even under full brakes. Nice! Got any pictures of your setup?

That mention of the 82 mm for the offset is some key information. I've seen other leaning side cars on the Web and have been guessing that figure myself. I was figuring 100 mm would be a good starting point.
