I'd love to find a '73 500 to set up for dual-sport and Baja someday ...

Just curious,is there a special reason for wanting a 73? I have a73 that I intend to set up like an old Trophy for some not too difficult back road riding.

Thank you for the story.
I knew about the prototype Vindian. I was walking past and looking the bikes over, I glanced at the Cheif thinking that it was a nice looking bike and turned to keep walking then thought WTF did I just see
Dennis has some skills , he did a beautiful job building it, looked like it belonged there. I bet it is a fun bike to ride

Hi Velocipede,

I'm sure my Triumph betters know more than I do, but I've been told the '73 500 has had the right upgrades regarding crank bearings etc to make it a good, durable race motor for flat tracking, etc ...

Phil Irving on the Vindian ...

Hi Ironhead,

Just came across this regarding the history of Indian, Vincent and the Vindian:

Pretty interesting ...

We're going for a tour of Dennis Magri's shop in San Francisco this Sunday, if you want to come along ... or anyone else reading this ...

see you around the campfire,
