I just turned 70. Between the age and the nerve disease, I am slowing down or at least need a co-rider to get this damn thing off of me. Maybe just a lighter bike.

I'm only 59. Riding all my life and still riding almost every day. Both street and trail. Won't give it up until I'm physically unable.

I can't tell you how happy I am to read these responses. Like most things in my life I came to riding late. (I didn't start skiing until I was 46). I'm 57 and bought my Harley new in 04, so I was....er....48. And I've been pissed at myself for waiting so long ever since. I've put almost 90K on my three bikes, and am delighted to see that I may have another 20 years to go!

I'm 71 and smart enough to realize that every year I lose a bit of the visual and sense of balance that is only required to ride a bike. Driving a car is easy as ever, although, the eye signal to the brain takes a moment longer than before. For some of the elderly, it's too long.

Well, I'm 66 and two summers ago, my wife and I (she's 20 years younger than I) rode for six months mostly off road on the great trails around Moab. However, we did use good judgement because some were beyond our skill level. She rode a Kawi Super Sherpa and I rode a DRZ 400. Nowadays, we ride road bikes; '88 K75 and she has an '08 Versys. I ride mine nearly daily as primary means of trans. I always feel much better when I ride, both physically and mentally and she loves to ride. We're planning some longer trips this Spring/Summer. As someone said: "You don't stop playing because you get old, you get old because you stop playing".

56 and ride over 25,000 miles a year, have 4 motorcycles, daily ride is an FJR.

Hey ski fast badly what areas do you ski down there...You guys got it pretty good this year . We are having a bummer this winter to date. I,m into dreaming of taking the ferry to Bellingham with the bike and riding down the west coast then back to ak. In June , camping. I'm never going to give up dreaming. :0)

None, actually. I took this name when I lived in Park City Utah where I was a season pass holder at the Canyons, but moved to the Seattle area four years ago and have gone only once. Hell, I can ride all year round, why would I ski?

I was a desert rider here in CA for years. Im 57 now and my body is beat down, so I switched to Adv/Dual sport riding. Much easier on the body after 4 knee surgery's,broke back, and countless other issues. Im loveing it and dont plan on sittin on the couch anytime soon. ( Shhh, I still sneak a desert ride in once in awhile ) Just dont tell my wife.

61, two bikes w/ e.t.'s of high 10's, race KX450F in dirt GP's monthly, practice weekly. You're only as old as you feel.

I'll be 62 in May. Started riding street bikes in 1966, mini bikes before that. Have always had bikes to ride through it all.
Sometimes it was a 100.00 clunker and sometimes it was a new BMW, but there has always been a bike in the garage.
Couldn't live without it ! Keeps you young. Looking forward to semi-retirement in a few more years and a lot more time to ride !
