Funny how they claim a clean sheet design, when Katech developed the engine from a GM design. Only GM can claim a clean sheet design, IMO.

News from Motus

Got an E Mail from Motus last night. Alot of it was rehashed stuff, but there were two new items of interest.

And pricing and specs on the baby block engine....

I have put myself on the list for a roadtest, They know I am willing to ride up to 1000 miles to get to ride that bike...

I do not see anything that points to that bike not being ready to go this spring

Plus they announced a Pennsylvania dealer is less than 4 hours away from me.

How long before a clever kit car manufacurer adapts this motor to a front wheel drive transaxle for a modernized Morgan style reverse trike ?

Another slide right... too bad. I wonder if there will be any updates about the upcoming EBR models by then. Either way, I really gotta test ride on one of these things.

I was just at the Pensacola BMW dealer this past Thursday and there was no mention of them picking up the Motus line. I'm so thrilled there's going to be a dealer near me. I'm going to have to inquire about a test ride too.

I'm thinking it would be a great engine for a Caterham 7.

I have not read through all 130 plus pages of this thread so please excuse me if I'm making a stupid statement thats already been covered but I'm a little confused over the excitement of this new engine, we surly realise that the existing Vmax already has a slightly larger capacity V4 in a considerably more advanced design producing quite a lot more horsepower whilst still producing the same torque and my guess is that it is probably also a lighter engine gearbox unit than the Motus as well.
If on the other hand people are excited to see a large capacity V4 in a sports tourer then I agree entirely
In general I'm curious as to how people compare the V4 in the Motus to the V4 in the Vmax

Supposedly they are/or already acquired a larger building. And are going to be a Husky dealer as well.
