That looks like fun. How well do those floats on the Cub work in the snow? Can you steer it on the ground at all?

What really surprised me was how little effect the pontoons had in flight. The best part is you can go from floats to wheels in about 1 minute.

I like those Multirotors... maybe I will try my hands on those in the future.
For my wooden-glider-project I just picked up a Graupner Mx-12-Radio from ebay for 130 Euros. And as my knowledge of RC-Equipment is still from the 80ies, where I steered my Tamiya-Buggies around, I am completetly blown away by what you can do with this things. Crazy Menus, Expo, Mixing... 3 differnt Flight-Phases... and the best thing by far is Telemetry with voice output... INSANE! And it looks nice, which is a bonus: Meanwhile I am still tinkering with the glider... its coming together slowly, but nicely. Another RC-glider-pilot pointed out, that I should put some airbrakes on it. Well... I dont know anything about those. So just by looking at other gliders I can get an idea... But there must be a way to calculatet the size or position of airbrakes? I dont want to just slap them on and see.

I was actually shocked how much I like the glider....I have a Radion, so nothing fancy but it does work real well.
It is just relaxing to sit out there and just let it fly.....I am also amazed that (I) can find thermals....it went to the point where it was just a dot in the sky and I was real nervous on losing it. It is a good plane for an intro to gliders....makes me want to try something a little more deticated.

Here is my Hover Things FPV Quad! Made for FPV and videoing. I have my Go Pro on there now. Not very well protected but it shoots pretty nice video as it sits.

It´s a Blue Phoenix from a swedish company called hobbytrae (http://www.hobbytra.se/). Apparently this model has been in the market for 25 years. After about 15 hours of building (not calculating the hours of drying glue) it starts to look like a plane:
I bought it as a start into the world of wooden model-planes after I made my first steps with a Hobbyking Bixler, which had my GoPro strapped to its nose:

This is my son loading up the bomber. You can fit 200 nerf darts in it....but trust me, you don't want to pick up 200 nerf darts. Easily my favorite plane I've ever flown, people love this plane. I can't post videos from work, but you can see this one and my FPV stuff in action on youtube under "David Andrews".
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I also have a tri-copter on 5.8ghz for FPV flying and that takes flying to a new level. I really enjoy messing with people with that one.
