LC4 - 01 frame with 05 engine ?

I found cheap the following
1.LC4 Adventure R 01 bike without engine,
2.LC4 Supermoto 00 bike with engine problem
3.DUKE II 640 '05 engine

1+3=1000
2+3=650

Do you know if I 'll have to buy other parts for this project ?
Is it possible?

The 05 Duke engine will likely be a High Flo Model compared to the pre 03 engines fitted in the 2 frames your looking at... The high flo engine will have a different head, hydraulic clutch and a second piston oil jet fitted to the front of the engine, otherwise it is pretty much the same..

The only real difference between the Hi Flo engine frame and the pre 03 frame was a change in the lower right engine cradle tube... In 03 they changed this round cradle tube to more of a flat bar to allow better filter access... The newer engine should bolt right in to the older frames with little problem... You may have to grind a bit off of the right front motor mount plate if it does not clear the added oil jet, but other than that there should be little issue..

Be sure to take plenty of pictures and do a report if you decide to take on this project...
