Trust you are all OK. Just spoke to a sister who is cut off near South Kolan. 350 mm so far in her gauge. She is a life saver and was called up to work with SES but can't get out. She has been stuck before andis well prepared. Mum is in town in Bundy without power and can't flush toilets because the sewerage system is flooded. Phone is also out with underground boxes flooded.

Yeah well it's WET! 423mm in 2 and a half days. Still more falling. I'm cut off with the river currently about 2+ meters over our only road out. Looks like it will rise. I am between Wallaville, GinGin and South Kolan. No problems with supplies and so far so good with the power. Stay safe everyone.

Getting smashed here in Hervey Bay at the moment, just waiting for the roof to get blown off the kids cubby hut!
There's bits trees up and down the street, my TV antenna is trying to pull the roof off the shed, gotta love cyclone season. Even had to bring the dog into the laundry... Oh well, we'll see what damage the day brings.

not good. Lost power just after last post, so on the batteries.
Pissed down with heaps of wind and another 232mm last night. River at about 7meters up at my place. Got to over 10m in 2010. Wind is pretty strong for 50 kms inland where I am.PS. Dunc's , I won't be in to work today!

Bundaberg and Burnett area record flooding.
Looks like a pretty tough situation up there.
Hope you're all coping as well as can be expected. |

Just got a text from a work mate who's in an evacuation shelter in Bundy. He got advised yesterday to bale. Said it "turned to shit fast we are evacuated safe". I asked if there was anything he needed, the answer was a gun the shoot the f ing looters!
No matter whenever there is a bit a drama somewhere, there is always some scum sucking peice of shit that crawls out of the sewer to take advantage of people getting a kicking... On a brighter note, flooding a our place wasn't too bad and the kids didn't lose the roof to their cubby. People 800 M up the road had one of those mini tornado things smash the street up, a couple of cars got flattened, power lines down, trees snapped like twigs etc. Oh well, we'll see what happens in the rest of the country over the next couple of days... BTW, anybody know the circumstances about the rider who died? Stay safe kiddies............

All good here, over 400mm at my place, we moved in here 5 weeks ago, all is good, we are 200m from the ocean and our land is at sea level, the house we used to live in we rented out at in was 1' from going under, my old neighbours had water at their floor boards 18" higher than 2010. we had 1 of those tornados touch down only 250m up the road, spent yesty and today helping complete strangers clean tonnes of debris off road and houses. i'll upload some pics when I get time. HB's esplanade is a write off, we get local flooding, the only thing that saves us is the town is not on a river, Maryborough is now guna get flooged and all the water from Gympie has to come down yet.
you guys in Bunday, Gladstone etc stay safe, got good mates and family in bundy, this shit breaks my heart, you are just left powerless to do anything. the just said on the news 1000 people have been airlifted from bundy, every person from the hospital has been lifted to Bris ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() To the rescue crews you are legends |
