It's 2AM in the middle of the week and I'm playing World of Warcraft with a friend I've never physically met. We spoke via Team Speak and Ventrillo, email, snail mail, telephone and txtmsg but never have met face to face. She's in MA and I'm on the gulf coast and we were talking about lighthouses while gaming. After discussing lighthouses I thought that it would be neat to have an on going quest to visit as many lighthouses I can while on the motorcycle. I've set a couple of rules and the first one is that I have to be able to access the lighthouse with my bike or have it in view of the bike for a photo. Second, I'm limiting my visits to the lower 48 because I've yet to renew my passport.

That said, has anyone attempted this feat or quest? Is there a standard list of lighthouses I should hit up?

I don't plan on running an Iron Butt for the lighthouses but this help me out a bit.
