![]() ![]() Custom adapter mounting plate for the case picks up off the rear factory mounts as shown. I used all of the factory pelican case screw locations and did not drill through the box, so it remains water tight. The bash plate is welded to the adapter plate.

Got three new trailers shipping later this week!!!
Here’s what’s new at Moto-Mule for 2013: Cargo area has been lengthened by 2-1/2” to aid in fitting larger boxes like the Pelican Cases. The frame is now modular, the cargo area bolts in with flanges. Now, one trailer can be customized to haul different things by changing out the cargo section of the frame. Watch for new cargo platforms later this year. This also makes assembly for the end user much easier. It is now feasible to supply parts to those wishing to build their own custom trailer as well. ![]() Looks the same at a glance.... ![]() Comes apart at the flanges. ![]() ![]() Soon to be more options for cargo area..... ![]() No cargo area... Not sure if this has any value yet?? Could use just the rear side racks to carry gas or water???

Cross post from the other thread....
Have you got a model to fit a KLX 250? Any idea on the cost to ship this to Qld, 4217 in Australia? Looks like this new model packs down smaller. Would it be possible to ship without the tyre & tube to make it lighter/cheaper? cheers g |

glad to see the 2013 model. i'm still waiting for a little more development. you've got brackets that mount above the shock for mounting gas cans. someone in the past 29 pages i just read mentioned something similar to a sportbike subframe extending over the back wheel. that's what i want...could be just a steel bar to loop soft bags over each side.

Good fortune!!
Since my order was placed Jan 11th (me thinks)... will it be the 2013 modular variant?
The "half-pint" configuration will be great for a number of options;
The extra few inches is especially welcome since I already own the Hardig Storm Case im2750 which is a hair long like the Pelican 1620. Also had an idea to make a dog trailer which is easier to adapt in modular mode.(yes there will be haters, but dog ignores death threats )

Brilliant
Looks like the extra length is mostly aft of the rear cargo mount, which should help opening the rear latch on the Pelicans/Hardigs, and better still, eliminate the urge to ease the box forward which hampers turning radius.
Brilliant, brave, and commendable to re-tool and innovate. You can NEVER address every idea or request, but that mod by itself kills many, many birds with the same stone, and probably expands potential BEYOND what many requests had petitioned for or imagined.
