Do you mean loading the engine against the brake and releasing it for a real pop? I was able to get some lift, mostly through really cranking into the rear wheel with an exaggerated deep knee bend.

I tried to cut across the edge of the pit, and the entire face sluffed off. Water was probably about 18" deep, with 5" of mud below that, we didn't even try. Graydog had to drag me and my bike out, after the requisite picture. Powerful little bugger.

We worked this log quite awhile. The big logs were mostly too terrifying.



Good practice for holding pressure.


Followed by half an hour of washing bikes and people.

I'll have to make it up there this summer when it is too hot in the valley.

Yes, more or less. Just like balancing on flat ground and using the brake to pull the front end up from a stop. Now get in that mud in third or fourth gear and give one of those logs a go! (Make sure the camera is ready!) No really if you are good with the clutch it should just pull you over no problem!

I haven't practiced enough in higher gears. Oh, awright coach -- as muddy as we got, I bet we can get a lot muddier....




Stagehand: nice playground! Circles on ice -- circles in a little gutter -- circles on a slope -- circles with a little tree....
Rotorhead: a little lower, no challenge. A little steeper, can't ride it! That's actually a fairly challenging obstacle.

DAkar commentary- well, most of it was just smileys and thumbs up but I've got the rally hook in me pretty bad

Love the pallet a-frame. Up till recently, that looked like an un-doable obstacle. Now feeling a little like making one, though :THumb

This is counterintuitive -- I never discovered, and haven't heard it until now. Works so easily that I can use it! I found ways to blow the timing, but as soon as I tried it I understood it.

What else you got, lineaway?

I stood on my trials bike today. It was 12F out with 6" of fresh snow, but that didn't keep me from riding.
