71 & Rugby:
Completed the repair. Learned a bit in the process. First and foremost - I don't like working on smartphones. Fixed it, but think I'm going to redo it over the weekend. The screen and digitizer are held in strictly with two sided tape. I could have cleaned the old crap out better and one corner lifts slightly. Don't think it's going to fall out or anything. At least right away. But I don't want to worry about it down the line. I'm going to redo it while it's all fresh in my mind. Took me about 4 hours to follow a 45 minute (very good and detailed) video. I could probably do it in less than the 45 minutes second time around, plus whatever time it takes to clean the old goop out. If anyone wants to tackle this themselves, beyond the tiny philips and torx screwdrivers you'll need, get a good Exacto knife and (not making this up) some medium and heavy guitar picks. I spent ~$20 on the digitizer and 2mm two-sided tape. I've been told there are folks around town that will do this repair for ~$60 - parts and labor.

OK up next....The "est" list.
Make the reading interesting for those that can not get out to ride, give as much info as you can on the TAG site. 1- The Tallest structure in your area. Anything goes. Building, statue, silo you name it just has to be the tallest for your area. If you have it give the size too. 2- The oldest building or one with an interesting histroy behind it. Again details do your research 3- Smallest occupied building (no pump houses or sheds here guys) business or residence that people live or work in. give size if you can. 4- Wierdest or oddest shaped building (ie round or barrel shaped) if you don't have one like that then one that would make you say WOW! or Damn! (messiest or funny color) 5- Scariest building OR place. We need the story behind it. (ghost, strange lights, etc) Make it fun and do some research before you go out. Give details and post links if you have them. Ray |

Tough one. Not a lot of documentation on this kind of thing, but, from this document: http://www.ncsu.edu/ncsu/facilities/...P_Workshop.pdf This is "Smallest occupied building: Centennial Campus Information Booth 210 GSF" ![]() 4- Wierdest or oddest shaped building (ie round or barrel shaped) if you don't have one like that then one that would make you say WOW! or Damn! (ghost, strange lights, etc) And as luck would have it, the Mordecai House is also haunted. If I'd have been extremely creative, I probably could have gotten the PNC Building from the same location. http://www.hauntedhouses.com/states/...ecai_manor.htm

New list. Looking for notable occurrences on February 3rd, there are two that stick out to me. First, it's the day Buddy Holly died and it's also Dave Davies (from The Kinks) birthday. Let's go with Kinks songs.
1) Celluloid Heroes - the marquee at a movie theater 2) All Day and All of the Night - something open 24 hours with an indication of such 3) Destroyer - a building in some phase of being demolished 4) Acute Schizophrenia Paranoia Blues - some place dealing with mental health in some manner 5) Waterloo Sunset - a view of a river (or body of water) from a bridge.

Nice Grab. And bonus points for reading information of the places too.
![]() Well now I can handle 4 pretty easy. The demolition building hmmmm. Now a couple weeks ago I could have had that easy. It's an empty lot now. ![]() Ray |
