Awesom!
I am very impressed with your list of the people travel the world you met along the way. How long have you been with this trip? And you are planning for the 800days trip as your thread title? Ride safe and have fun! |

my loss
At the beginning of my blog, I mentioned that you can do anything you want in this world as long as you are willing to pay the price.
I sold my house I sold my 1967 lotus elan I sold my XR650R I even sold my Dan Gurney Eagle BMX bike that I have had since I was 9 years old. I was ok with getting rid of all those things But I just lost something that I was hoping that I wouldn't ever lose I lost my girl friend and my best friend. She was a perfect fit for me. She loved motorcycles. She was fun and she had a good head on her shoulders and a big heart. But with me being gone so long took its toll on our relationship. She wants more and I guess I don't blame her. Now I am really traveling alone. I paid a big price to do this trip. Makes me wonder if it is all worth it. And until you have to give up something you love to do something else that you love, you don't know how I am feeling. At this point, there is no going back and trying to repair the damage that has been done. Part of me wants to try. But I have come this far. I might as well keep going. I dont really have much left to come back to |

No you're not! You see how much support you have from folks you have never met.
Look she knew your deal, who you are and the vigor with which you attack life with when she got into your dish. Even if you walked away yesterday, it would be something else tomorrow. Hang in there Ed. This too will pass!

however. the only thing that i've learned in my 42yrs of living this life we live is that there is always something else to love. be it motorcycle, lead sled, riding the baja, or doing a trip like yours! focus on your next love and maybe something good will happen. shit man, you're in the absolute CENTER of the hottest women in the planet, imho...you're a good looking gringo with a spendy bike on a trip round the freakin' world man! and there are those smokin' hot indian women as well...... ride on brother!

Snap out of it Lalo. The women come and the women go.
You are doing what you really want to do or you would not be doing it. Check out James Allen "As a Man Thinketh" I'm enjoying your photos and tales.

Man
Ed,
That is too bad, and I am sorry to hear that it cost you that. But, having sold all your possesions, to do something you love and wanted so bad... I can only see this as her loss. Time heal all my friend, and remember, you have a bunch of friends here, even if we can't be there physically, we are here in spirit. Feel free to rant but don't woller in self pity. Enjoy the now, the ride, the adventure, and who knows things may work out for the best, because everytime a door closes, a window opens. Take care and remember we are here. Shane
