Don't put too much pressure on the system with the garden hose. I caused a heater core to fail on a '79 Eldorado by flushing it with full house pressure. You think an S-10 heater core was a pain....

RE the flush..

Prestone makes a kit which comes with good instructions. Not expensive. Glad it went well.
