Will rings from a 2001 drz400s model fit 2000 drz400e model. Bike needs ring job and the site I'm ordering from only shows 2001 and on oem rings. Also putting in new timing chain. Should i get new tensioner also?

Unless your adept at monitoring/adjusting your tenioner just stick with a new tensioner acct. its the same engine so just buy 2013 parts.

Manual unless you're not confident in your mechanical skills...It's a "just enough" adjustment... improperly adjusted they'll chew through the chain and guides real quick. I pointed you at the reverse lookup page at Ronayers for a reason... Look up the parts you're interested in the fiche, click the part number in the list and then "where used"... It'll tell you quickly and easily what you need to know.

Did you create custom mounting brackets for the mirrors? The local auto parts stores in my area (KC, MO) only have the stick on blind spot mirrors, nothing like what I see in your pictures. |

The FCR carb is pretty popular. Check out videos on youtube or more info at the TT website.

Yeah, i just cut up 2 strips of plastic and stuck the blind spot mirrors onto it with the self sticking tape, then put some plastic epoxy around the edges to make it stronger, very easy to do.

Not sure, I always buy 2010 parts, gets rid of the confusion (or 2007 if its an e model, as that was the last year) but it somewhere around there they started fixing the glitches
The acct works fine, set it and forget it, if it starts making noise its time for a new timing chain, no amout of manual adjustment will fix that.
