21" Front Wheel in 1980 XL250S
Hi folks, would anyone know if there's a 21" front wheel that will go pretty much straight into an XL250S that has a 23" wheel normally?
Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.. |

Could you not just but a new 21" rim and have it laced on?

What would be the fun in that?
I seem to recall the later ones (eg XL125S,) have the same drum so it should fit. I had a XL125S a few years ago and had a 23" wheel laying around, they looked the same to me but I never did any measurements or anything so might be a near mis... I'll let the final verdict to the guys who actually know this, it might be worth investigating.

I think a front wheel from a 78 cr will bolt right up and uses the same brake drum tab on the forks, I'm not 100% sure so double check that thats the year.

I think the front wheel from the XL 250 R is the same.

I assume you want to chainge the wheel because you are having trouble finding tyres.
From what I have seen speedway bikes use a 23" front wheel, will tyres made for them work?
