Stainless cycle that yellow EC is/was super clean. I have an 07 that seems very similar to yours, do you like the ohlins on your old bike better than the rear shock of your 07?

Thats because you're in the Vintage forum. Gas Gas is a modern brand. (about 1989 I think).

the ohlins was better, but i never rode it stock, it was revlaved right away. i did put a bladder in the 07 shock, i was getting a little fluid leaking into the reservoir. i'd like to revalve the 07, but there's very little data on this shock to begin with - mine has the stepped shaft, which is very short run.. i would have put the ohlins on the 07, but they're significantly different lengths.. overall the 07 is worlds above the 00, and the 99 i had. i should get a year or 2 more outta the 07 then move to a newer model.. i have the messico pipe from my 99 on the 07. awesome pipe.

All of the Ohlins shocked i have seen seem to be on older models. Is the messico pipe for more low end power? I dont know too much about Gas Gas bikes, i acquired it in a trade, a local guy traded me his 07 gas gas with scotts steering dampner and some other goodies along with 800 dollars worth of body work on our jeep for my 07 kx450. I had no intentions of trading but my 450 was going to need some motor work done soon so i figured i would let it go. I believe i came out in the better.

it's really linear - nice low end, nice mid, decent top - but not a ton of overrev. they are fragile though, and they stopped using this design in 99 or so i believe..
