Missing site buttons...(Viewing problems with Firefox and Chrome) - Page 3

easy fix: press addblock button in browser, click Open blockable items, then right click the link that says image/something, and click add exception to rule and make sure you select the "something.something.net/images/*" and click add exception. then reload page and fixed.

Using Firefox, turned off Adblock for ADVRIDER and button came back. All good

Yup, added exception for www.advrider.com to adblock and all is fine now. Good to go.

Hi guys,

About a week ago a number of system buttons (New Thread), (Reply). (User CP)...etc all disappeared from all of my browsers (Firefox, Sea Monkey, Explorer) for this site.

They function they perform is still on the webpage and accessible (hence I am posting this thread) but they are simply not visible. I have not upgraded or changed any security settings nor have I altered any settings on my system that would have caused this to occur. No other webpage, forum or other site that I am on shows this condition.

Interestingly enough the only two buttons that seem NOT to be affected are Submit New Thread and Preview Post when I am creating a thread or when I am replying to a thread.

Thoughts, ideas or feedback would be appreciated as this is frustrating.

Same thing here. You need to turn off your ad blocking software for the ADVrider.com domain and you should be all set.

Thank you guys. I am sorry I posted a new thread but I searched and did not see anything coming up on this. This site has some of the best people in helping out the problems in a kind way. It is truly appreciated!

In the end, I followed the advise and with the exception in AdBlocker all is good.

So Ive been an inmate here for 4 or 5 years,when ever I look through "New Posts" I wish that I could put a new post up there as well sometimes.
Yet there's no "New Post" to click on at the top and put up a new one.

Why is this? What have I done wrong?

Your permissions haven't changed. Try a different browser. Some folks were having trouble w/...uh...one of them.

Forum skins are available from the drop down menu at the bottom of the page.. the default forum skin is Advrider 2.0.

I'm not sure the mods are interpreting your question correctly. But then again, I'm not sure I am either, but I'll throw something out there.

If you are talking about the "New Posts" link at the top of the page, then be aware that is a canned search of recent "unread" posts throughout ADVrider. Therefore, you are not viewing a specific forum so there is no button on that results page to create a new post. If you were in a particular forum and created a new post there and then quickly clicked on the "New Posts" link at the top of the page, guess what, you won't see your post because the thread you just posted in would not be considered "unread". That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I had the same problem, no A/A editor button when using Mountain Lion. I installed Firefox, now the button shows up!
