I too am teary eyed from reading your words and looking at those photos of your wife Chris.

you truly are a great man, compassionate and caring. It is a pleasure for letting us follow you along on this stage of your life. I can only think how much better it would have been to be able to share this with someone you love and also brave enough to write about your inner feelings.

    safe travels

I remember reading about your travels, and taking care of your wife. I marveled at someone who continued to dedicate himself to one who may or may not have recognized you at that time. I say marveled as I have known of others in your position who chose a different path than you.

Two years later and we still feel your pain, but we also can share your trip and are glad that you are finding happiness once again.

She would be very pleased for you.

Thanks for making the point. Have cleaned the bike twice in the last 3 days, and will continue my cleaning efforts today so she will look better than when she was new!

Thanks for all the kind comments, and sharing in my journey. It is all part of my life experiences as I take in this adventure.

I am in Buenos Aires. Today is a new day, and we will see what unfolds today!

In between working on cleaning the bike, also taking time to see a little bit of the city. Went to the big cemetery in the Recoleta neighborhood. Amazing mausoleum here including Eva Peron.

Some areas have wide "streets" lined with mausoleums, and others are narrow.

    Many many very old ones.

Just enjoyed seeing the various architectural details

Lots of people gathering at Eva Perons Monument

Lots of caskets and decorations in the monuments

Then out for a nice lunch.

Then a nice little cone of Ice cream!

You are an inspiration. As the caregiver to a wife with worsening Multiple Sclerosis you give me strength and courage. Thanks!

Thank You. it takes a great deal of courage and strength to be a caregiver. May you do well in caring for your wife. To me there is no greater calling in a marriage than taking care of your loved one to the best of your ability. (of course, none of us do it perfectly and without mistakes, we are human.)

    :thumb Proud of you!

If you like being in cities, Buenos Aires is Great!

Being back in Buenos Aires is the final stop on my time in South America. Sort of strange as I get sorted out with shipping, cleaning the bike, and getting ready to move on to New Zealand. It is bitter sweet, as I have come to really like my time here. I will miss using my small amount of spanish to communicate, and many other parts of the culture here to numerous to list. :deal

SlowPhil and his Wife Jan returned back after spending a month together "Adventure Bussing" around Argentina and Uruguay. So what are we to do.... Invite people out to have a big dinner! We also added Chris from the UK that just spent 2 months riding his bike from Colombia to Argentina, and Ma Jo from Corrientes, Argentina who is staying in our apartment building. We had a great evening out! Go home at 4 Am

Here we are getting down to Jan's Height!

    Then a great dinner!

Left a little wine bottle to remember the evening!

The culture of Argentina is a late night culture. We did not eat until 10PM, then out to find some music.....

Then a great Bar with fantastic music....

Claudio having a bit too much fun.

Then a Bachlorette party in full swing on the street.

As we stayed out late ..... Claudio talking to a new friend.

    Nati giving Yoda a kiss

Next day took a tour bus around the city to get a little bit better understanding of different neighborhoods!

Plug headset into the right place.

Was worth getting a view of the city and learning some history!

A stop at the Boca Junior Stadium. Futball is huge here.

Then a look are the area. La Boca is a cool place to have a look around.

    And then some professional dancer.

    Very Sexy dance

Then some special forces motorcycle police roll by.
