I looked but couldn't find it on their website. Only the Rallye Light fairing which looks different. Got a link?

I dont know if the Thumper kit even used a Wossner piston.
He called Thumper,they said.............bummer! Lotsa guys have run these 570 kits with no problems.

Of course to add insult to injury he bought a complete 525 gauranteed engine from a "pro" builder.
Special transmission gears where 3rd was almost the same as second.
Then the sealed cam bearing blew to bits and sprinkled bearings through out the engine,broken gears,destroyed piston/bore,etc.

Called the re-builder,he also said...bummer! And would do nothing. 4400.00 for nothing.

That seems pretty good,Ive gotten used to ripping around with a compact chainsaw mounted on the ft end of my 200XCW,it weighs around 6+ lbs or so. Id like to have one of those quad lights on my 530.

Paul's probably just making sure all his ducks are in a row before he opens it up for general sale.

So about 360.00 for the mount and then 300.00+ for each quad light? Bargain at half the price!
Luckily I dont ride at night much,and any light I do use tends to get broken kinda quick.

Well, a new adventure in RF4 is about to begin for me.

I bought Silverboys blown up 450 complete, and Genghis Swan's blown up 450 motor, and out of the two I have good cases and a head. I needed to replate a cylinder, buy a crank and piston, as well as all the sundry stuff to have a runner...

I thought if some is good, more must be better, and ordered up the SXS 570 kit, together with a new 530 crank. The project will cost me a bit more than I originally budgeted, but mine will be faster than yours, as they say. Wide open throttle or don't bother.

The motor will go together while I'm away racing, hopefully in late March I'll assemble the bike and have a rippah!

More to follow...

PS: if anyone needs a brand new 530 rod and big end pin, I have an extra, will be a lot cheaper than buying a new crank!

Thanks for the reminder, will do an update over there. Long story short, I love the chassis and power, but for big country exploration, my heart remains true to the simplicity of these things.

FWIW, late reply -- After the tranny oil has warmed up I have no dragging issues. I can roll it around when in first with the clutch in. If I am starting out cold I can roll it but there is significant resistance.

Maybe there is some air in the system so the clutch rod is not moving as far as it could? An adjustable slave cylinder should also theoretically fix this if it is an actuation problem and not the clutch pack being a bit too tight?

If you are stalling a lot have you considered changing gearing? The stock EXC gearing is very tall for emissions reasons.

Hey looking at buying a 09 530exc it has about 1,700 miles on it and is all stock any advice would be appreciated.
