The year 2000 models came from the factory with the side stand tab on the frame. As far as I know, no other years had this. I have a 99 that I put the DualStar kit on, which required welding a tab to the frame. Watch when reading through the how to...................I don't think using the crankshaft locking bolt method is a great idea for holding the flywheel when tightening things back up.

After I read the correct thread on the starter clutch (with guide already done), thats what I'll be doing too.

I'm becoming a cheepskate in my old age, I'd much rather get it sorted for $10 and a borrowed puller instead of encouraging KTM AUST's pricing by giving them $190 odd for for a starter clutch and puller.

In any case modifiyng the caliper in that area will not cause any problems but make sure you are gentle with it and if you have a thin disc cutter, use that. If the modification was near the bolts then it may have been a problem...

Let us know how it goes and take some photos

In the end I gave up and sold the disc with the motomaster setup I had to a fellow inmate. The standard disc will be find for my use, it was just bling really, but hey, I like a bit of that sometimes !!!!

In a pinch, the spring from your fork seal work also, that's what's in mine.

Hi that is my mates bike,he bought it new in 2000 and still has it today
it was the first 640 adv in scotland ,it has been changed quite alot, that is a ktm 950 adv front end
