I don't have pics, just a story. Last Oct on the KMSR Field n' Forest ride and rider behind me buried it deep.

The ride consists of Blue (trail sections for dirt donks like me) and Orange (Hero section for the guys that can ride) trails around the West Bend, WI area. Half hour into the ride (mid Oct cool day in Wisconsin) the Blue trail skirts along a little bay of a lake for a swimming area. Blue trail follows round the little bay, Orange trail goes across the bay. I go Blue around the bay. Rider behind me on a KTM, takes the Orange trail with a hefty throttle blip and on the rear tire, charges across the bay.

Except,.....his line went out a "bit" too far. Its a swimming area that gets chest deep fairly quick. About 1/2 way across he hits the Sippy Hole,......and the bike quickly goes down to the handlebar, and flops over to the right, while running. He comes up from fully under, like the bike, and is standing next to his drowned bike which he already righted up. The upper half of the headlight is above water along with the handlebar and he is standing there in water up to his pits. Very cold, mid October, Wisconsin lake water, heh, heh, heh.

Didn't stick around, but I didn't see anyone rushing out to help him. I'd guess someone threw him a rope and they pulled him out. But his engine HAD to be fully flooded. We had done maybe 15 miles of the 150 mile day when this happened. Bet his day was short. And COLD. Shrinkage!

Not a great picture, its a still pulled from my GoPro footage, but you can just pick out a hand grip and some of the rear fender of a TTR 250 that was running when it found a slightly deeper spot. Luckily a jeep came by shortly after this and helped tow the bike out.
