My mother's eldest brother and his pregnant wife were killed by a V-2 in january 1945. The bomb targeted to Antwerp got deflected by a hit from a Canadian fighter pilot.
This is all that was left after another V-2 hit a medieval church in the last months of world war 2. The church itself was rebuilt and from salvaged material this structure was erected to stand alone as a lasting testimony to man's folly.
