Shipping a Ural
I have purchased a Ural out of the southeast area (AL), and need to get it to Colorado. Looking for a shipper that might have been used with a decent reputation to get it here in one piece. The best quote so far has been 1047.00 which seems a little steep. Reliable was 1275.00, Passport was 1847.oo, Allied/Federal sent me to another carrier at the 1047.00 number. Still looking for other quotes, but I hope someone here might help. Thanks

Try UShip.com I shipped a Ural from Houston to Chicago in December for $500. Depends of availability, competition on that route and timing. If you are not in a hurry, can get better deals if you wait until a truck going your way has extra space available. CCjon

Try haulbikes.com. I'm shipping a sidecar and accesories from Maine to San Francisco, cost is about $900 including insurance and the fuel surcharge.

I used JC Motors to ship a Harley sidecar (no bike) from Florida to Michigan. They did a good job, it cost about $650.

Somebody will be along, any minute now, to offer to drive it up for a plane ticket or gas money

Shipping a Ural
Update: Haul Bikes just came in at 848.00 which includes a sur charge of 195.00 for a side car and no loading dock is required, nor do I have to supply a fork lift or other surface to roll the hack onto for the off load. It will take about or up to 5 weeks.
I found a 2011 Gear Up forest fog left over with zero miles in AL at a dealership. Even with shipping, it will be well worth the cost to deliver a new bike with some left over funds available to get it set up at less than new. Couldn't find much diff between an 011 and anew 013. |

The forest fog was a new color for 2012. Did you get the NATO Camo since it is a 2011? Great color and I sure you got a great deal!! Congratulations.
