This could be the low-suspension setup when you think of it.

New GS in new Zealand...
Quote:
Hello There, you want news about new GS ?.. Well our ONE WORLD ONE GS is now bashing South Island New Zealand with our two new R1200GS. When you arrive in Chritschurch, you discover a city and a bunch of people with courage and who have a lot to complain about but yet never do. Their town has been destroyed couple years ago by a terrible 45 sec earthquake and the downtown is still a “down“ town today. Roadblock averywhere, buildings down, escavating machines everywhere and people working in containers.. Travelling is also about witnessing other people's life and to place relativity about our own ups and downs.. Kiwi people are bloddy brave and happy. Their city is down but they are still UP !.. http://www.t3.fr/medias/Image/2-VOYA...ischurch09.jpg We took the road to Reefton a small mining town where we met old timer miner folks. they took is to the heart of an abandonned open sky coal mine where we played with out GS... http://www.t3.fr/medias/Image/2-VOYA...-Reefton22.jpg Then I met this funny chap in the old pub. He looked like nothing but he was really interesting; And when he told me "I have also 3 choppers", I laugh. Yes, sure. Ok, if you have choppers, can we bet something ?.. We did, I won, here is the result : the first air born R1200GS flying for a 10 min spectacular ride above the mines around... http://www.t3.fr/medias/Image/2-VOYA...Makarora10.jpg Well I can imagine already the comments coming on this picture... "the new GS can't jump above obstacle.. Without an helicopter you can't go nowhere with it... etc... Ok i'm ready guys.. Shoot ! :) ![]() http://www.t3.fr/medias/Image/2-VOYA...Makarora10.jpg More on http://bmw-motorrad.com/gs Cheers Eric ze Frog. |

From what I'd heard a while back ... 2013 applies to two bikes - new WC GS, and current GSA modl of the old style. So the new WC GS will come as 2013. BMW had stopped production of current GS model some time in October 2012.

Eric ze frog,
When you are in Arizona in March will you be staying primarily in the northern region? Curious as to what your route will be. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk.......MM

Actually I think it will once more take TWO years to replace the Adventure. Plenty of good reasons: - No leaks about the Adventure model (this not a reason, this is an indication). - Happened before (both reason and indication). - They want to promote the normal GS, before they renew interest with an updated Adventure. - They give time to people that still want oil-head. - They have a tough job to fit this in an Adventure. It's not only the water cooling (they will possibly use completely different radiators, possibly a single bigger), it's also the HUGE new air-box that really presents issues to fitting a huge gas tank. And since I make predictions, let me already predict what will be the first major update to normal (water) GS: - Update to front forks (yeah I believe they will revert to the diameter of the forks of -2012). - Minor power boost (130 easily). - Color HUD like GT. (damn I want these already hehehehe) Keep this to remember 2 years from now. |
