It must have really slowed down your traveling, having to pull your tool out, to prove your manhood, every time somebody accused you of carrying a purse.

Really, I'm buying the Goodwill tool bag story, because that is the nicest piece of gear on that bike.

Were you brand conscious or just lucky back then? I think Aigner was the only brand that color matched your bike. For future reference here is a nice selection:

people are giving ME shit for using a ladies purse for a tool bag, then someone comes along who can actually identify the brand of it!

One of my best biker moments ever was when I was riding this bike down the highway, about 60mph, and I was passing some woman in her car. she glanced over at me, he eyes got real big, and she reached over & LOCKED HER DOOR!

Now they want to chat & tell me about their husband/lawyer/dentist who has a chopper JUST like mine

I miss the old days.
well except the police harassment, I dont miss that so much

you have to marvel at the thought process - she must have thought you would just reach over and yank her out of the car and proceed to ravage her right there on the chopper at 60 miles an hour

It is a whole lot easier to get your bridge toll money out of a front carried fanny pack than your jeans hip pocket. especially when you have rain pants over your jeans! easy access for the point and shoot camera also. function over style anytime for me.

Not giving you shit man, just recognizing your good taste in the finer lines of ladies accessories.

Really that looks like one I might have bought for one of my x's, back in the 70's.

after you ran off with that stripper, she got rid of everything that reminded her of you, including this tool bag that she donated it to goodwill where i bought it for 25 cents.

(and actually, i was givin YOU shit for being able to identify the brand :) )

When I am wearing leather (still fit in mine 20+ years later), I have an old bicycle "pouch" that is black that fits well and visually disappears. Sure makes it easy to stach wallet, sunglasses, whatever.

Well, I can take it, especially from someone whose sense of humor is as good as yours.

I learned pretty early on that rusty, dried blood color of red leather meant either a high maintenance woman or a redneck wanna be. Either way I couldn't afford em, unless they already had the whole ensemble of gloves, jacket and tool bag.

She probably thought he was gonna steal her purse!
