According to the history page of the new Polaris/Indian company, 1923 Indian dropped the motocycle designation and began referring to their bikes as motorcycles.

Indian called it a "Dispatch-Tow". Originally used for delivering or picking up a car for service. They had a tow bar on the front forks and were ridden to the customer's location and towed back behind the car.
