G-Day Ron, Thanks for throwing out the offer, but I am heading to Death Valley end of this month with a small group, and well I don't think the wife would be thrilled with me turning around heading back down. That, said, I so want to head back to southern Utah, that place is a geological Mecca to explore.
Have GREAT Ride. BTW I had a TW for almost 14 years Great little machine! I kinda miss not having mine. Quote:

kinda dead around here!!
Went for a ride out to the Owyhee Desert a couple days ago... My Buddy Trents KLR is getting valve shims changed out, so he road my KLR...
![]() ![]() We took a jeep trail that had about 6 inches of sand for a road base... I found out Pluric isn't the ONLY one who has trouble staying upright in the sand!! I was down before I'd gone 100 feet!... I found out the super 10 is pretty easy to pick up... ![]() ![]() sorry, no pics of the sleeping bike... but I did get some of the sand ruts where the tragedy occurred...![]() ![]() After a couple hundred yards of riding in this stuff, I figured out how to survive in it and didn't go down again... but it is work to ride this bike in sand!.. ![]() With two perfectly good bikes to ride... Trent decided to go for a hike??... ![]() ![]() it was nice to get out there even though it's still pretty cold!! I sure like this bike!! even though she is a big gal!! ![]() ![]() I'll be riding the big gal down to Death Valley in a Month... looking forward to letting her stretch her legs for a couple thousand miles ![]() ![]() ![]() If anyone from the NW wants to ride down, Let me know!... |

On to the riding subject. I am planning on doing a re-ride of my Crystal Crane Hot Springs ride from March 2010. It will be one of the last two weekends in March. When it gets closer I'll just pick the weekend that looks like good riding weather. Look here for some pics of the 2010 ride: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...76678&page=225 If anyone is interested in coming along, let me know.

Maybe this time we'll have enough sense to turn back if we hit snow.
