The plug.. I forgot the bloody plug!

Changed out the air filter element today for an oiled foam type. Reassembled the bike, put it in the shed.. went to lock the door.. then I saw the bloody rubber plug that goes in on top of the central screw in the filter body.

Anybody else leave it out?

Not going to go through all that again just to replace it.

Will it be a problem?

Any comments or suggestions or experiences welcome!

No. I just got busy with other winter projects since this cold spell will not stop!
Blinged out the Rhino with some 14 inch wheels and mudder tires.
Which, according to my son, is now "Bad Ass".

Tested it out on the front lawn with about two feet of old snow. Promply high centered and I noticed
lawn coming up as I'm trying to get it unstuck. I'll explain that to my wife in the spring.

Yes I have. I hate it when that happens. I was putting the tools away and noticed
it sitting on the bench. Did the same "Should I put it back now?" argument in my head
and voted to leave it out until the next time.

Unless you run the thing under water and mud above the airbox I can't see it hurting anything.
It just keeps dirt and moisture from sitting on top of the screw. From what I see over in the
Show me your bike thread the worst most will get in there is some car wax.

If you have the two separate oil/foam filters probably not. It would seem the plug is mostly to prevent water from becoming free standing in the hole and ultimately leaking into the air box.

Looks like us Yanks & Canooks are stuck with winter & ice,
while the Aussies and 'Canners are out playing where there is no web.

Geez, I get bitched at if I don't post and bitched at if I do.

Did everyone paint their bike black while I was out? Sure sounds like it around here.
