Yes that is what I SAW him do,the run just disappeared-blended into the paint using a shot of thinner, just as you would while painting.
this something ,I suppose you could practice doing on some surface, a run i find ,is easy to accomplish. |

M-unit
anyone had any experience with these bad boys?
Worth the nearly $300? That would clean the headlight bucket up nicely wouldnt it?

Hey guys,
Didn't get too much done this weekend, but i did do my rear "fender eliminator" its in two parts, the seat pan which will hold my battery/electrical's etc and the front part which will cover all of the engine. The front part looks a little low but it matches up with the seat pretty nice. ![]() ![]() I am adding stripes to my tank, run them down the midde. Black gloss stripes, centre stripe being 1.5" wide and .5 inch flanking stripes. Thoughts on this? I found a broken weld which I am going to fix when I weld in my new seat braces, that will all be done next weekend

So this weekend was all about getting ready to get the frame sand blasted and powder coated black :)
I eventually got the bearing races out - yes it was hard. Looking over the frame to make sure all looked good in terms of welds being solid and dents etc. No dents which was great, but there was a weld with a slight crack, so I opened the weld up to re-do it and make sure it was all good! weld opened up: ![]() So i needed to start practising welding, because i needed to weld the above joint closed and i also wanted to add a seat support brace... So i practised and felt pretty happy with my efforts: ![]() Then I cut and added my brace at the same time, shutting that broken weld off: ![]() I was in a metal-making good mood so I made a cheeky license plate holder as well - its made out of 3mm aluminium. I will either have those retaining bolts for the plate that had the LED's in them, or I will get a light mounted under the seat that shines on the plate: ![]() ![]() With an old plate that came with the bike to show size - the plate slid down a bit but its a perfect match. I was going to just have a "strip" to hold the plate at the two top mounting bolts but decided to go the whole hog ![]() and then this morning - OFF TO THE SAND BLASTERS!! costing me $120 to get done...then about the same for powder coating.

front disc setup
Hey guys,
I'm upgrading to a dual front disc setup I have the right slider and disc brake on its way - question when it comes to the second disc can i just use another R90/6 disc brake? or use the right hand side r90s disc? does the disc just bolt on? cheers! Warren

Guys, about the twin disc upgrade
I bought the right hand fork slide which gives me the extra brake caliper, the extra disc and disc carrier Question: 1) do I need to buy both of the sliders? Reason I ask, one fork axle hole is approx 16mm the other approx 21mm to accompany the axle, with one larger side obviously. But both my stock and recently purchased sliders have 16mm holes...so no more 21mm hole. Someone suggested to me "turn your axle down to 16mm right through. Is this ok to do? Does the 21mm part act as a spacer on the one end??? 2) I will obviously need longer bolts to accommodate the second disc carrier? I'll have a proper look tomorrow just thought I would throw the question out there Photos tomorrow of my freshly powder coated frame :-D Any assistance is greatly appreciated guys! *-*-*-* sorted guys - figured it out, the supplier sent me the LH side fork slider as opposed to the RH side slider...I'll get that sorted today *-*-*-*-*

powder coating - semi stoked
got my powder coating back guys...I am 'happy' in the sense that it looks great and I know it will last....but there were some things that didn't make me 100% happy - before I got it done I asked the normal stuff, couple of them being "please mask off bearing housing's and the ID plate etc"
Whole frame... ![]() Stainless bolts - I have a whole SS kit for the bike. Using copper grease as an anti seazing agent ![]() bearing housings with PC in them :( would i just scrape the PC out? ![]() ...he was close with the ID plate, just not quite there...heh. I'll just cut around the edge of the plate and peal the PC off ![]() When i get my lower fork slider this week - I will hopefully be able to build the bike in to a roller this weekend/week ahead. YEW!

Inside the races...
I'm thinking you might need to use a dremel tool with sanding tubes. The races were out, right?
Good luck. roy |

before you go the dremel route try some acetone on a rag ,
some PC mixes will dissolve in acetone, and it wont take a whole lot of time to clean the races |

Hey guys!
So I did a couple cool things this weekend... First I re-spoked my wheel with brand new SS spokes ![]() The complete wheel fitted with second disc AND my brand new Avon RoadRiders - SUCH a mint set of tyres ![]() Then I started to re-assemble my rear end, rebuild the swing arm with all new bearings/seals/bushes and mounted it to the frame, then rebuilt the rear wheel with all new bearings/seals etc and mounted that too, with my brand new Hagon Shocks ![]() ![]() ![]() THEN - get on to this, I did my stripes on my tank/seat. They are 2.5 inches wide total with all three stripes, I reckon they look perfect? Just have to do the front of my tank, need to trip the decals to get them under the fuel cap ![]() ![]() ![]() Just need to finish my tank decals, and get my front end rebuilt this week/weekend to have it in a roller. So excited boys.
