I use a Jetboil and cook/eat whatever is fastest and easiest to prepare and clean up after. I'm usually out for photography and morning and evenings, especially, are not times when I want to be cooking and washing dishes.

agreed, my alcohol stove would make short work of melting the rest of those things. Still really cool design, I would be interested to see how the kettle holds up to water and the structure when poured. Nice space saving design, I use the similar rimmed plate/bowls and they works great.

I do the same with Photography, being on the road full time though gives me more leeway to cook on the not so "photographic" days!. Being without refrigeration however for over 6 years now there really is not much clean up needed and I generally cook something that will remain for a couple of days. Again, with the simplicity of no refrigeration all is so much more easier with specially no spoilage. [hey, I am still alive...] I wrote to them in England to see if they would ship some of those products here. Will let you know how they hold up if so. I generally write a bit about what we use, never claiming they are the best products, just sharing. Stay well. Ara and Spirit

Silicone (or at least certain grades) are very heat tolerant - I've used silicone moulds to cast lead in the past. |

Where did this motor home come from? There is a small camper here at The Oasis, a shipping container, fire pits, solar Oven, sorry, but no refrigeration for the few weeks a year we are here to regroup. Consider it a storage. I call it a "Base Camp".

![]() This is what you were rolling when I met you. A mutual "friend" told me you had upgraded to a motorhome. Maybe it was some other fellow?

I try to eat as well as I can afford while living off my bike or traveling, sometimes that means Ramen noodles. (with hot sauce packets from gas stations) ![]() Sometimes when life is real good I can get some fresh meat early in the day to eat out on the trail. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Or even better when I can catch some dinner. ![]() ![]() Though sometimes I have traded a little work for some grub, no shame here. ![]() ![]() Though pasta is good too. ![]() ![]() Fresh shrimp on the beach in Mexico is always cost effective and tasty. ![]() And on some days there's just a liquid dinner. And that's OK too.

I usually eat canned stuff, and some sort of meat and veggie that I pick up at a local place along the way.
I usually heat the canned stuff right in the can and my preferred way to cook a steak is to toss it right on the coals. It cooks the outside really quick and leaves the inside nice and rare... Just perfect! ![]() ![]() ... Of course, if you're in bear country, this isn't a great way to do it! |

I thought this thread was about what we cook/eat while camping? ![]() Not the vehicles BeemerChef has traveled in while living his life how he sees fit over many years while sharing it so elegantly with the ADV community, Tex. |
