I am taking the fullest possible package with any extra... extras possible (except when Touratech or Wunderlich has a better version).

After two bought-new GSes, I now know how it affects resale to NOT order some possible factory extras. I still remember people that chose 1200GS without ABS because there was still a debate about its usefulness (and of course they were too cool to let the system do "their" job - side-note, ABS has saved my life at least once). I wonder how easily they sold theirs (if they did). I did almost the same mistake (to a lesser extend) by not taking the new-then ESA (because "that knob under the seat is good enough and lighter"). At least I got ASC.

Anyway... only 45 days for you man. I envy you.

2015 ?

ASC, ESA, computer, all lights led, GPS ready, daylights, alarm, chrome exhaust, alarm, crash bars, set of vario cases, cruise control, heated handgrips, hand protectors

This is the "expected config for norwegian market" minus tire pressure control.
As far as I talked to the dealer, each dealership around here got a monthly "manufacturing quota". Within the monthly quota they can order a bike of a specific config to be built. I placed the order mid-january when they still had one bike available for march. So it's not like the system in US (from what I've seen in other peoples posts) where the dealer first gets a batch of preconfigured motorcycles.

And one more cool thing is that norwegian law requires 5 years of warranty, so after the factory warranty runs out all norwegian dealerships are obliged to provide additional years :)

That extra warranty cost is passed onto customers, isn't it?
What's that add to the cost of the bike?
What is gas going for in Norway these days?

Honestly, looked black to me. The Rallye is the red white and blue one.

Both were for sale with the hang tags.

Sounds like both were oilheads, the only colors for the new WC ones are Red, Blue, White, and a dark Grey.

With the cost, probably to some extent. If you take the price of the bike without taxes it's more or less the same as in the rest of Europe. It's the environmental and import tax that make the price ridiculous. Gas costs around 14NOK/liter.

It's really hard to say what extent of extra warranty cost is paid by the customers. In case of other products that require prolonged warranty (electronics etc.) there is no price difference.

Just an FYI.

Warrenty is nothing more than an insurance policy wheather it is bought on the open market or self insured, as is the case on warrentes on a new vehicle. The vehicle price to a dealer is a function of the cost of this warrenty, so a 5 year government mandated new vehicle warrenty adds to the whosale price of the vehicle. Nothing is free, you pay for it one way or the other.

In addition, each country's distributor negotiates a different deal with the manufacturer with many factors coming to play, to name a few, liability, required warranties, import taxes, etc.
