Ok so I found an XL600R and the lady told me that I could have it if I could get it out of her yard. This bike has seen better days indeed. Engine has excellent compression. I noticed that the bike needed a new stator from the start so I have already installed a new one. I am getting fire to my cdi unit, but nothing is coming from it....OK, here is the bad....there is no ignition switch and someone has wired it up some other type of way....i know that the ignition and kill switch ground the cdi to shut the bike down.....my question is how do I find if my cdi is indeed bad?...any help will be appreciated.
