I'm fat, but that's a secret also.

That was my secrete for many years too - at 5' 7'' I was under 120lbs until my mid 40's. My bikes were always faster, and when I stripped them down they were faster still. They just thought I was a good rider.
You don't see many lard arses in MotoGP, or any other motorcycle sport for that matter. It's stupid to carry that sort of handicap. |

One of the UK bike magazines did a story a couple of years back. It was about a chap who raced Enduro who weighed about 300 pounds. Even then he used to regularly get podium finishes. Once he lost about 140 pounds, no one could touch him.

The fatter and happier I get the less I care how fast anybody else is

Funny thing, I'm shedding a few pounds to "hot rod" the GS! I thought I was the only one adjusting the power to weight ratio through diet, and excercise!

God forbid I ever lose weight, I would never be able to use that as an excuse for being slow anymore

Does that work for reducing injury too?
I imagine that my 160# tumbles to the side of the trail with less impact than people with more mass. I have no proof . . .

Unfortunately, the OP, whose skinny ass, no doubt, I could kick... I consider my continued weight loss to be the best "mod" I can make to improve my bike's performance.

Sure, you girly men are faster. But I'm sick of picking up your bikes for you because you can't!
