You're obviously a man of impeccable taste.

Just for you, here's one I tidied-up for a mate a few months ago:

Doing the work encouraged me to own one again, so:

I still love K75s though and this is keeping me busy at the moment:

Lots to do:

I never thought too much of K1s either - until I bought one on Fleabay a couple of years ago. Yep, the styling is "unique" but they're a hoot to ride and all K at heart.

ATTW: You really do some nice work. I'm jealous.

Cheers mate.

I'll post some more detailed photos of the K75S I'm working, on once it's done.

Do some as you do the work.. let us see what your obstacles are and how you handle them!

Gratuitous Mid-Winter Blues K11 "S" photo

Bike is currenitly on the lift for the winter, wheels are being painted (metallic silver) and Remus header ceramic coated ( it discolored something fierce) plus new steering head bearing and a once over on the FD. But here is a pic of it last spring in what I call "S" mode, no bag mounts and corbin solo seat, with a fresh coat of mystic red to boot.

After 95K miles on Metzlers, I an switching over to Radials per Duck's standard K LT formula (Avon on the back, Road Pilot on the front). I'm interested to see the difference. If it is anything like the difference I got swapping out my fork springs I'll be thrilled.

And here it is in "RV" mode, with two up with full camping gear for 2 weeks on the road.

And somewhere in the middle, during a weeklong blast from Boston to Tennesee via the BRP.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled Winter....

Looks like a nice LT. Depending upon how fast you ride, switching to radials will yield a bigger improvement than a spring upgrade.

I picked up this "can't get it to start" 59K FYK (Finest Year K) 1985 K100RT a couple of weeks ago for a grand. By March 27 (scheduled completion date) it will, except for the motor, be a completely different bike.

Did you get it to start? What was the problem?

Didn't even bother trying. Just verified that the engine turns and isn't seized. That's all I need to know. 59K is relatively low miles for a K and the bike appears to have been fairly well maintained for it's age and miles. (I could tell that it's had at least one clutch spline lube in it's lifetime.)

Gonna tear it down to a bare motor and rebuild the "new" bike from the ground up with reconditioned fuel injectors and lots of newer parts.

If I can't get it started after I've rebuilt it then I'll turn in my ADV decal.

It might have been a bad front coil. I tested the resistance across the outputs today and it's an open circuit when ideally it should be around 12.6 Kohms.
