new to me 08 ADV990S

I have finally crossed over and tasted the orange Kool aid. Took my 1st KTM ride today. Whew!! That thing is fast and didn't feel that heavy. For just the small amount of ass chewing that my sandwich maker gave me and only a few days on the couch...shoot this bike is well worth it. Maybe I'll take it out on the dirt tomorrow!

Congrats!

Maybe you should get a personalized tag that says 'COUCH' on it?

Time to look over the front cylinder base gasket since the rear had developed a "Pyndon Syndrome"

Looking good Johan. Add seat and pedals, and it's ready to race.

I've never seen a "rolling chassis" version of an Adventure before. Man, that's pitiful lookin'!

To be honest Im not entirely sure, have 2 sets, a 230 mm (stock) and a low S 245 and think they are mixed up right now since there was a fork seal leak this summer and have had the shocks off for oil change.

Still waiting for the Pyndon suspension. But looks quite tall now also since there is no meat on this bikes bones.

Here is the rest of it:

Awesome downhill bike :-)

Johan, do you want some engine parts? I have some good low mileage early cases I could sell you (no corrosion). I also have a new set of cylinders I could sell you reasonable or a set of used cylinders too. All in great shape.

Email me if I can help in any way.

Lyndon

Won´t spend any more money on this engine, will see how it holds up with some sealant. If any more problems occur I will see if the damage is worse before doing any more repairs and should the day come that it wont work ill look at a replacement engine or if the money is there a whole newer bike.

If a new bike maybe do as suggested earlier strip the old down to this and add a saddle and pedals!

If it cant be fixed with a hammer its an electrical problem!

Long before the suspension can be put to use, plenty of snow!

More pictures!!!
