R/R brake rotos, now problem...

I R/R the OEM Kawasaki rotors (warped) at 64k with EBC rotors and HH pads.

I got everything back together alright (I usually do my own tire changes and have had the front wheel off a few times) but something is not quite right....



There is a "clicking" when I spin the wheel. I marked the rotor and the clicking does not consistently stop or start at the same point. The bearings are original and probably need to be changed but the sound I'm hearing is not from the bearings.

I have not road tested it yet. I bled the brakes from both calipers and the master cylinder.

I've double checked the torque of the fasteners (rotor buttons, fork clamp bolts, caliper bolts, brake pad retaining pins, axle, etc, etc.) but this clicking is driving me up the wall.

Do you guys think a road test to bed the brakes in would fix this?

Sounds like your pads are not making full contact. Take a spin for a couple miles and bed them in. Likely this will "fix" your issue. Ride cautiously!

The "pedal wave" on the rotor is hitting something.

When you installed your calipers, did you do it per a manual? Very often, you need to use a feeler gage to check the gap between the caliper bracket/caliper and the rotor and adjust as necessary before torquing down anything. Sometimes the forks need to be tugged or pushed on a bit.

Are the replacement pads exactly the same size and shape as the OEM pads? What about the rotors?
