![]() Super reliable bike; i ride 45-140 miles a day. So far my only complaint is the current seat height, i have an aftermarket Fox twin clicker air shock that the previous owner installed that i still haven't adjusted just right. But hey, maybe i'm just short.

An interesting fairing. Hannigan maybe??? And the rear drive is saying S model as the C or standard had a rear drum brake. It looks good in green.

Looks like it's a Parabellum Scout.

Hopefully it goes fast enough so that nobody has to look at it for very long.

Electric ... 2 - 3 psi boost. Low pressure supercharger would be a closer description. But seeing as how the pressure enters before the filter ... how many leaks does the standard airbox now have ? .

The seats a Hannigan, the fairing is a Parabellum Scout.
And yes, she looks wonderful in green. Original paint job was blue but I'm happy the PO painted it green. Still trying to get the Fox twin clicker adjusted correctly. Being short + hannigan seat + aftermarket suspension = waddle parking ![]() Serious question though: are the front forks supposed to be recessed into the top triple tree a little? She handles fine and eats up the occasional pothole like a champ, but i cant find any information as to why the front forks would be recessed into the triple tree.... only about 1/8" recessed... any idea?

That's much closer to a ram air system... But hey.... that might not necessarily be a bad thing for a brick? Usually its a bad idea without tuning since a ram air duct causes a hyper-lean condition. This causes a drop in power but better mileage, BUT without an O2 sensor the fuel delivery remains the same increasing horsepower due to more complete combustion. (albeit minutely generally). All in all the bike should have a scoop, not a "turbo".

I'm short and i'm tire of going tippy toed through parking lots, hopefully fixing this will help a bit. Shouldn't be too hard to shimmy the forks up a tad, i just want to know the exact measurement of how far (not covered in a hanes manual) To the phone i go! Thanks.

It's not rocket surgery to put them back where they should be. Very easy to do yourself.
Jack up the front end under the oil sump. Loosen the pinch bolts in the upper and lower fork trees. Twist/rotate the upper fork tubes while pulling up on them until the tops of the forks are flush with the top of the upper fork tree. Re-tighten pinch bolts.

Got a new to me 86 k100, and was having fun for a few rides, until the clutch cable snapped today...
I ordered the part already, does anyone know if a mechanical dufus can do the job at home? |
