Talk about a conversation piece.....that rotor's got "Plan 9 from Outer Space" all over it. You oughta put the old one on display!

GTS has still got "it"
I spent the day yesterday taking and learning how to teach the MSF Advanced Rider Course (ARC). The GTS did just fine, having more ground clearance than I could use and giving an especially good account of herself in braking exercises.
It was not much above freezing in the morning (the old back tire was a bit scary at high lean angles until it got warmed up) but it was fabulously warm by the afternoon.

When I had my VFR800 for a while I rode with a friend that had a GTS. He chewed the tires off that bike, and I rode over my head in effort to keep up. His boots, and foot pegs were ground down heavily.
I've wanted one ever since. |

If I'd moved back onto the balls of my feet here, I'd probably have 4"+ of ground clearance.

I do miss mine. I'd love to find a 94 with the Krauser bags on the day I actually have enough money to buy one. I just loved that motor.

There's one on eBay right now in Texas - Seems to be in reasonable condition, although it does have more signs of use than many. Also one on Craigslist, Fla Treasure Coast - but it has been crashed and needs replacement bodywork so probably better as a parts bike.

That ebay bike looked a little rough. cracked headlight and the plastic on the left looks all cracked to hell and badly repaired. Won't buy one with an "I could adapt the FZR exhaust".
![]() It could be a lot of bike for the $3000 though. Not sure I have the skills to get this back to where it needs to be.
