Cold weather starting. Wont turn over for crap when under 50°F. Got about 6000 miles on it now. Is there a block heater kit for this bike?

Thats odd,its been in the 30's here and mine turns over ok,it takes a few turns at that temp but does fire up.
Im pretty sure it has some sort of Lithium Ion Batt in it though,I keep forgetting to check but the PO put a different battery in it.
I used to put a heating pad on a DR350 I had long ago,just tucked the pad in around the engine overnight.
It was always a bitchie to start.

I always try kicking it a few times if it's really cold or has been sitting for awhile. It just gets everything moving in the motor and fires right up. I don't know why, but it works well and totally saves the starter.

This always works for me. I also installed a shoria battery and now I do not have to kick it when it is cold.

Have been doing this with good results. Been worse than normal lately.

I have a shorai battery and it is deffinitly better than stock batt. I drained it dead when at the trailhead it would not start even though it started that morning on the second kick. Went home and a few hours later found the damn kill switch stuck down. Been hard to start since then even when kicking with the starter and after charging the batt. Clutch may be dragging or the 20/50 oil is a little heavy for cooler weather.

KTM says dont run 20/50 oil so I wouldnt do it,clutch drag doesnt happen unless your starting it in gear. Mine doesnt like to start in gear even at the best of times.

Took advantage of the winter pricing sale and picked up a new Wings Exhaust directly from Slovenia.

Got my Wings exhaust in this week. Looks great!

Cost less than an FMF Q-4 (on sale) and has the quality of an Akro

Looks like a quality piece:

It's a bit lighter than the OEM one.

OEM 93oz

Wings 58.7oz

Comes w/ 2 spark arrested silencers

and is just a good looking exhaust

I also got one for the 690 I have on order and it is just as nice, but has a larger volume to accommodate for the larger CCs of the 690 thumper

Manual doesn't say I can't use 20w50, but it only specs 10w50.

I put the Shorai battery back in and it started with the e-start.
