A big thank you to all you fine folks for welcoming a newbie! It was great to meet you and I hope to make a habit out of this. Maybe even some motorcycling? I'll ride sweep. I was once told I reminded them of Captain Slow from Top Gear. No lead foot (or hand) here!

I spent 4+ hours on the phone this morning locating and shipping a fuel pump for the Dakar. Even got to work on my espanol with a guy from Jalisco! Poor guys are stuck on the East Cape for a few extra days, no doubt working on their tans and beer guts. Make sure you shed a few tears for them...

Tony performed surgery on the fuel pump and got it going; bad internal connection - the pump part was o.k. Can you believe they were bored with sitting at the beach??? Crazy guys! They're making their way north and should be in San Diego Thursday night.
