Seeing that 990 in action makes me want to trade my Buell in on one!

Maybe on a new-to-me dirt bike if the seller gets back to town Thursday like he says.

That sounds like fun, is the tape still up? That was my very first desert race about 10 years ago. Very tempted to start doing it again

I don't know if the tape will still be there, but all I have to do is follow the tracks.

I was out there helping with the event. From what I was told, the other loop is pretty nasty. Lots of rocky sections.

Hey Ryan;
glad to hear from you... being that this is YOUR thread and all!

anyway, hope the treatments are going well and aren't too hard on you... Been concerned about you but couldn't say anything to anyone due to the HIPPA laws...

really glad your planning to get more riding in this year... I did the college thing in my 30's with 4 kids and a mortgage, and had NO life for 4 years... glad to see your going to get some more time to ride this year... see you out there!

ADV dudes,

Funny story....

I'm rolled out of surgery, still 1/2 under... and I hear something to the effect of, "Are you RWC?"

I assume I've gotten too much morphine and I'm hallucinating... but no pretty girls around so perhaps not.

Turns out SilveSpurs is taking care of me post-op.

Small world.

Getting to discuss riding and the Upper Pahsimeroi post-op doesn't suck. Granted, I remember about 1/3 of it.

Anyway, ya, I hope to get some more riding in this spring/summer with cutting down the graduate load and all.

I'm likely to get out for a few hours this weekend to Hemmingway to see how the little DR does having been shoved in the corner of my garage for the last year.

..... Wooooo Ryan my man, it's really good to hear from you and to know you are up an kicking it... that Graduate work that is. Did not know about the other issue, but sounds like you have a good handle on it now. I'm root-en for you bud.

It would be great to see you back out on the trail again, and maybe with that DR350 I could even keep up.

Take care and truly hope to see you out there again

I just got back from Death Valley last night and need a couple days to lick my wounds and fix my DRZ.... I kinda broke it on the Llippincott and Saline rd.

Get Better man, so we can see that smiling face out on the trail again.

Did Death Valley beat you and your DRZ up? I'm waiting impatiently for the report. Hope you had fun.

Got out for ride this afternoon, to blow the cobwebs out of the carb and test out the new-to-me HT racks with the Giant Loop.

I was very pleased with how the bag rested on the racks ~ it's going to work out really well.

Traction was darn near perfect, with little to no dust ~ a good time to be riding in the desert right now.

Saw a cool frozen waterfall in the middle of nowhere.

Lots of water out there, with all the snow melting.

Saw a group of wild horses on the ridge on the way back. Overall, it was simply outstanding to get out for a day and ride the two track while its nice and cool out. That DR350 runs great once I can get the SOB started. Someone did a very nice job of working the suspension over and it handles like a dream. If I can get figure out how to kick it over when it's cold, I'll be pleased as punch.

Went and checked it out today. The second loop was a lot more enjoyable than the first loop. Much more interesting.
