OMB, had a friend at work tell me that the 185 had to use the oil reservoir and never to run mix in the tank. Said the injector also lubed the crank bearings. That right? Some reason I thought I heard the tank could be disconnected and just run through fuel tank (mixed). Also told me I needed to run certain type of oil specific for injectors. I guess I could google all this or PM you but I'm too lazy to redo this.

Your friend is correct it does directly lube the crank. I have heard that you can modify it to work with premix but I have never messed with it. Back in the day before the Internet we didn't know any better and just blocked off the oil lines, tossed the tank and ran premix. We ran the crap out of them and never lost a motor due to lack of lube. We never ran quality oil either. I'm afraid if I tried that today it would end horribly and soon. I would leave the CCI system intact, fill the oil tank and ride...repeat as needed.

Suzuki was the only one that pumped oil directly to the LH crank bearing and the lower rod, along with pumping a variable amount in the intake. If you pull the shield on the LH crank bearing, then you can run pre-mix only. But, if the pump is still working, don't bother.

Wibby and Linkweewee are having a "kiss and make up" weekend after a few minor lover's spats,,who gets to drive, and who gets to steer,,and stuff like that.

The truth is,, there is a true love bond there that no-one, at least none of us ADV culls,, can intrude upon,,better we just leave them alone to polish up their differences,,or whatever it is they polish up when they get together.

Ida been the for them,, and with them,,a firm backer!,, but Link mentioned some shit about a pure pug desire,and how he couldn't keep his hands to his own dog,,,and I knew this was not a game for me,,you boys play nice now! Arf . arf!

Daaayum..what a nice day! I was slaving away in the shop today and I kept hearing this faint sniffling and sobbing. Upon investigation the sounds were coming from my KTM. She has been ignored for way too long. I felt so bad I had to put down the tools put on some gear and take her out for a bit of exercise. My neighbor brought out his DRZ for some abuse also. We returned home 3.5 hours later with 102 miles and a fresh layer of mud all over everything. We found a new/old road that is awesome. It is steep, rocky, muddy, brushy, fairly long, has a creek crossing and actually goes somewhere. It adds a new twist between here and the Siuslaw. Got home just before dark grabbed a beer dropped the gear and headed straight for the hot tub. It may have been sunny but the sweatshirt was not enough insulation once the shadows started getting long. No pictures cause some dumbass left his camera safely at home.
