Riding Little pigs in Baja!

Thanks for an informative and entertaining RR. I lust for trail but my 800XC is not made for the tracks you took.

Glad to hear you say that! I tried to keep it simple without too much text. I'm the same way, If a report is too lengthy I tend to skip over most of the text and just look at pictures. Thanks for following along! Cheers!

Gregg, I agree about the oil changing! we tried to keep it close to the ktm maintenance schedual which is every 15hrs. The new moter shares the engine and tranny oil so I really felt the need to keep up on it. We only changed the oil filter once in Loreto so changing oil wasnt too bad. I guess thats the price you pay for the high performance engines with small oil capacities!

Absolutely great RR! Some fantastic riding down in Baja, and so much to see off the beaten track. A little pig is on my list to ride those sections, fingers crossed that happens soon!

Thanks Krazygloo, I checked out your website, It kind of makes my ride report look a bit weak!! you guys do some cool stuff! I think this summer we plan to do the discovery route through oregon. This fall we will probably head back to Baja but ride all the way to Cabo and arrange to haul the bikes back on a trailer. This would give us a chance to travel lighter and enjoy the tight stuff better with a lighter bike.

LittleWan, I've been following your RR and enjoying the hell out of it!! you are one tough cookie to ride on the back of a 990 through the stuff you guys are riding. If you did the "what the fuck were we thinking trail in reverse on a 990 your tougher than me!! I guess the storms really washed it out this year so its basically a river bed. Glad to see you guys met JD as well!! Keep up the good work on your RR

Thanks for reading it Ceasar! and thanks for for 990 oil change line. Thats a great idea, saves hours of nonsense removing shroudes and tanks just to change the oil. I'm looking forward to checking out your bike!

When I started in on this, I knew I had to "get me one". A KTM 500 EXC that is



I used a lot of your mod ideas and tips you sent me and that I found here. Bike is ready Wednesday. A public thanks to you for being generous with your knowledge and insights.

Now I aim to capture the Baja essence so well written in this ride report
